The Yoruba of the Ijebu region have long been renowned for the richness and complexity of their woven cloth; this cloth is generally referred to as Aso Olona, which when translated means, cloth with designs or patters. The cloth is woven on a upright loom by Yoruba women in the vicinity of the city of Ijebu-Ode.
